A lot of free training turns out to be a taster for a course you have to pay for. Here the free programs are the organisation. Lighthouse is a registered Canadian charity, and the tech and employment training it runs in Weston is free.
“Job creation through education and training” is our own line, and it puts the job first on purpose. The training is how people get there.
Training is offered in multiple languages.
English, Portuguese, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Pashto, Farsi and Urdu, with people on the team who can work in each of them. For a lot of people in this city it is the language, not the subject, that keeps them out of training like this.

Lighthouse is part of the Google Career Launchpad program. Google accepted us in July 2026, into its Google DeepMind AI Research Foundations cohort, so the training paths here run on Google’s own programs: Google Cloud, IT security, machine learning and agentic AI. Every certificate at the end of them is issued by Google, not by us.
Our executive director holds three of those credentials himself, 17 courses in all, and each one can be checked on Coursera. Participants have earned Google Data Analytics course certificates through Coursera too.
